counselling & psychotherapy

Are you tired of pretending you’re okay when you’re not? Maybe your mind feels too busy, your standards are impossibly high, or anxiety is running the show. If you feel like you’re "too much" or "not enough", often at the same time, trust me you are not alone, and you don’t have to figure it out by yourself.

You have tried being more disciplined, reorganising life, pushing harder and yet the old patterns creep back. You may feel isolated, exhausted, and held back by the fear that your ADHD brain is a defect.
In relationships you replay conversations, over-explain yourself, hide parts of who you are. You sometimes feel like an outsider in a world built for “neurotypical.” You worry that if you slow down, people will see your flaws. You fear you are always disappointing, always missing the mark. You live with a sense that if only you tried harder, you would be enough.

You crave quiet in your mind, fewer alarms, fewer loops. You yearn for space to breathe, to rest without the guilt or voice telling you that you are lazy. You want to trust your decisions without overthinking them. To speak your truth without rehearsing or apologising. To lean into boundaries without the familiar fear of social “fallout.”
You want to wake up and feel more grounded in your body, more peace in your days, more confidence in who you are, not in who you think you should be. You want to feel worthy of ease, rest, belonging.

I’m a BACP registered counsellor based in Leiston, Suffolk who works with people who think deeply, feel intensely, and often mask it all to keep going. I specialise in working with neurodivergent clients (ADHD, autism, OCD), and those struggling with anxiety, people-pleasing, perfectionism, and low self-worth. Many of my clients have been labelled “too sensitive” or “too driven”but I see the strength behind those struggles.

My path to becoming a therapist wasn’t straightforward as it started with my own struggles with anxiety, overwhelm, and a deep sense of not quite fitting in. For a long time, I blamed myself for being too sensitive, too chaotic, or just not "coping" well enough.

It wasn’t until I was diagnosed with ADHD as an adult that everything finally made sense. That diagnosis was a turning point. It gave me a new lens to understand myself and realise that I was not broken or failing, but as someone whose brain just works differently. It allowed me to untangle years of anxiety that, in truth, had been my nervous system trying to survive in a world not built for neurodivergent minds.
Now, as a qualified counsellor with both professional training and lived experience, I work with clients who are navigating anxiety, self-doubt, overwhelm, and the unique challenges that can come with ADHD or being neurodivergent. I offer a space that’s warm, accepting, and grounded in real understanding and not just textbook knowledge.

I believe change doesn’t happen through force but it happens through compassion, clarity, and connection. Together, we explore what's going on beneath the surface, uncovering patterns, building tools, and creating space for growth. You don't have to figure it all out on your own.

If you’re feeling anxious, stuck, or like something isn’t working but you can’t quite name what, I’m here to help you make sense of things in a way that feels empowering and true to you.
My approach:
I tailor therapy to your unique needs, combining evidence-based strategies with a deeply compassionate, person-centred approach. My work integrates:
-
Person-Centred Therapy – You are in the driver’s seat of your healing journey. I provide an empathetic, non-judgmental space where you can explore your thoughts and emotions freely.
-
Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy (CBT) – We’ll identify and challenge unhelpful thinking patterns that contribute to anxiety and self-doubt.
-
Self-Compassion & Mindfulness – Learn to quiet your inner critic, manage stress, and develop a kinder, more supportive relationship with yourself.
-
Practical Strategies for Overthinking & Anxiety – Develop tools to manage rumination, reduce decision paralysis, and regain control over racing thoughts.
-
Rather than a one-size-fits-all approach, I work collaboratively with you to find what feels most helpful and meaningful for your healing journey.

What You Can Expect in Therapy:
-
You will start catching the patterns. You will begin to see how your thoughts, energy dips, overwhelm or hyper focus cycles are connected and stop feeling like it’s all random chaos.
-
You will feel seen, not judged. Instead of hiding your mistakes, worries or “failings,” you will have a space where your frustration, confusion or guilt is understood and accepted.
-
You will gain tools you can use on your worst days. When panic, exhaustion or brain fog hit, you won’t just have ideas, you will have strategies you can reach for that actually help you slow down, clear your head or reset
-
You will realign your boundaries and priorities. You will learn where and how you are overcommitting, people-pleasing or draining yourself, and begin to say “no” or shift your life to suit how your nervous system works.
-
You will move toward consistency instead of bursts of random energy. Rather than doing everything all at once then crashing, you will begin to build rhythm, a sustainable pace that fits, even when ADHD or burnout are strong.
